Over 5000 new jobs are expected to be created in Lagos, as  Governor Babatunde Fashola  flaged off the operation of a fleet of 100 new Air-Conditioned buses.

While launching the project, at the premises of the Sate Traffic Management Authority, Governor Fashola reiterated his administration's commitment to building a reliable and sustainable Multi- Modal Transport System driven by the private sector.

Governor Fashola also commissioned an Ultra-Modern Magistrates' Court in Ikeja, the State capital.

Fashola began with the 2015 State Council on Health, an event where stakeholders discussed issues in the health sector.

He also appealed to health workers to seek viable platforms to resolve grievances with the State government.

From there, governor Fashola commissioned the Rosaline Omotoso Courthouse in Ikeja.

The magistrate court is equipped with facilities, necessary to enhance the functions of judicial workers.

The governor concluded his official routine at the yard of the State Traffic Management Authority in Oshodi, where the State government demonstrateed its resolve for an efficient transport system, with the launch of additional 100 new Air-Conditioned buses.

The scheme was made possible by a partnership between Lagbus Asset Management Limited and Metro Bus.

Governor Fashola underscored benefits of private public partnerships.

Parts of the innovative facilities available on the buses are wi-fi Internet Connection for passengers and Access through Pre-loaded Cards that would generate 5000 jobs.
